油画,作为西方艺术的一个主要画种,纵然也有不少先驱直接从西方或间接的通过日本引进到中国来。应该承认无论从理解上还是从实践上,我们还没有形成一套全面的完整体系,也没有能在中国画坛上,充分显露它的作用和影响。 由于历史原因,也包含地缘关系,民族处境及“五四”以来逐渐发展起来的面向时代,面向生活为主导的文化倾向及美学选择等内在的联系,特别是意识形态原因,俄罗斯19世纪中叶,发展起来的现实主义艺术经验的影响,特别是近50年来的学习借鉴,从油画创作力量的培养和壮大上,实事求是的讲,从油画创作力量的培养和壮大上是不可低估的。
