According to the recently released economic figures, the United States seems to have entered a recession, but Japan is not good either. If these two countries really went into recession one after another, it would have a very bad influence on those export-led Southeast Asian countries. Since February 2001, Southeast Asian stock markets such as South Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines have all slumped one after another, which reflects the bleak outlook for the export industry.
