邮电部于今年一月五日发行“戊寅年”特种邮票一套(共2枚)。其中一枚生肖虎图案为我国人民喜闻乐见的民间工艺品——布老虎。邮票上的这尊布老虎,俗称“黎侯虎”。原形出自山西省黎城县(古称“黎侯国”)城关镇谷驼村高秋英女士之手。这位年过半百的农家妇女,从小就受民间传统文化的熏陶,喜欢摆弄母亲为她缝制的布老虎。黎城一带百姓擅长制作布老虎,家家户户把布老虎当作避邪、镇宅、降福的吉祥物。值得一提的是:过去人们缝制布老虎是为孩子们作伴,如今布老虎已成为当地的一宗民间工艺特产,行销国内外。高秋英早早就从母亲手中学会了布老虎的制作技艺,由于她心细手巧,三十年来,利用空间时间,缝制的布老虎有五百尊之多。她在缝制布老虎时,一方面继承民间工艺传统制作方法,另一方面大胆更新和创意。按照高秋英的说法:“除了制作工艺必须研究之外,最重要的便是要在作品中表现出老虎的威武和神气,这样制作的布
