自50年代开始建立的上海普通高校函授、夜大学教育,至1996年学历教育人数已占全市成人高等学历教育人数的70%,充分发挥了成人高等学历教育的主渠道作用。不久前,市教委开展了建国以来首次对本市普通高校函授、夜大学教育的评估工作。面向21世纪,这类教育的发展目标是:“适当控制规模,以发展内涵为主,提高质量为重。”
Since the 1950s, the Shanghai General University correspondence and night university education has been established, accounting for 70% of the total number of adults with advanced academic qualifications in the city up to 1996, giving full play to the main role of adult higher education. Not long ago, the City Board of Education launched the first time since the founding of the city’s ordinary university correspondence, night university education assessment. In the 21st century, the development goal of such education is: “properly control the scale, focus on the development of connotation, and improve the quality.”
