刘川同志的《青春之歌》在《剧本》今年一月号发表后,受到了全国各地读者和剧院(团)的注意。至今,除了中国人民解放军前线剧团已于去年十二月分在南京上演外,北京,上海及各省市的许多剧院(团)也都在赶排。仅从前线话剧团一个多月来的演出情况看,这个剧本受到了部队官兵、机关干部、青年学生和一般市民的普通欢迎。这部作品能在社会上引起这样强烈的反映决不是偶然的,研究一下其中的原因,找出成功的关键,指出尚存在的缺点,我想对于今后的戏剧创作不是没有益处的。然而,由于我的水平所限,全面评价一部作品实在是无能为力,这一工作无疑的需要我们的批评家去承担,我只能从一个青年戏剧文学爱好者的角度,谈一谈我所了解的关于作者的创作经过以及我自己的感想。作者所选择的题材是当前人们普通关心的事情,作品所表现的主题也是人们最迫切需要了解和解决的问题。作品的内容决定了它与群众的血

I can only talk about what I know from the perspective of a young drama lover The author’s creation and my own thoughts. The subject selected by the author is a common concern of the people at present, and the theme expressed by the work is also the most urgent problem people need to understand and solve.
