Shushu is a way to predict and explain the fate of social and human life by the lunar, the positive and the five elements in ancient China. It is also the wide positive activity based on the ontology of ancient Chinese philosophy. As the important driving force in the development of ancient Chinese philosophy, Shushu constitues the foundations of Confucian thought, embodying the Confucian thought of fate, and has important influence on Chinese culture and philosophical thoughts.
