作为一种文艺批评理论,接受美学将研究重点由传统的以作家为中心或以文本为中心转向了以读者为中心,突显了读者在文学作品接受方面的作用。埃兹拉·庞德深受中国古典诗歌影响,以中国古典诗歌美学为支撑,提出以“意象”为其核心范畴的意象派理论。接受美学提出:接受者的期待视野是制约文化交际的因素之一,期待视野因其固有的动态性而具有共时性和历时性,庞德与中国意象诗的关系印证了这种共时性和历时性对人类的文化交际所起的重要作用。
