Objective: To observe the effects of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) preconditioning on the content of endothelin (ET) and calcitonin gene related peptide (CGRP) in intrauterine hypoxic ischemic rat brain and to explore the effect of HBO preconditioning on intrauterine hypoxia Neuroprotection and mechanism of ischemic rats. Methods: Pregnant 16-day-old SD rats were randomly divided into cesarean section control group, model group and HBO pretreatment group, and preconditioning HBO preconditioning was given to preconditioning group. Intrauterine hypoxic-ischemic model was established during labor. The contents of ET and CGRP in brain tissue of 48 hrs after birth. Results: Compared with the control group, ET level and CGRP level in the model group were significantly increased (P <0.01); ET level and CGRP level in the HBO pretreatment group and the model group were significantly increased , The difference was significant (P <0.01). Conclusion: HBO preconditioning can correct the metabolic imbalance of ET and CGRP during hypoxic-ischemic injury and regulate the cerebrovascular vasomotion and make the brain tolerant to hypoxia and ischemia.
