英语词典是英语专业学生学习英语的必备工具,它的使用与否以及是否恰当使用直接决定着英语专业学生对英语词汇的准确掌握。而精读课程则是英语专业学生系统学习英语词汇、语法等的基本途径,因此,精读课程中英语词典的使用频率与方法在很大程度上影响了英语专业学生英语词汇习得的准确性。笔者对安康学院英语专业精读课程中英语词典使用情况做了较为全面的调查,证实了英语词典对英语专业学生英语词汇习得具有重要作用。
English dictionaries are necessary tools for English majors to learn English. Whether they are used properly or not, English dictionaries directly determine the English majors’ accurate mastery of English vocabulary. Intensive reading is a basic way for English majors to systematically study English vocabulary and grammar. Therefore, the frequency and method of using English dictionaries in intensive reading courses greatly affect the accuracy of English vocabulary acquisition for English majors. The author made a more comprehensive survey on the usage of English dictionaries in English major intensive courses of Ankang College, confirming that English dictionaries play an important role in English vocabulary acquisition for English majors.
