2009年起,中国人民大学改革学期制度,将原春季学期、秋季学期各缩短一周,同时于每年7月份增设国际小学期,时间为4周。国际小学期以全面提升办学国际性为突出特色,开设全英文核心课程,邀请国际师资,免费面向全体在校学生,招收国际学生与本校学生同堂上课。目前,国际小学期已经成功举办5届。国际小学期致力培养具有全球竞争力的杰出人才,以开放推动改革,不断完善和创新教育模式,取得显著成效,在国内外产生广泛影响,为学校加强课程建设、提升教师素质、提高教学质量、创新人才培养模式积累了宝贵经验,开辟了提升人才培养国际性的新途径。
Since 2009, Renmin University of China has been reforming the semester system to shorten the original spring semester and autumn semester by one week each year. In addition, the International Primary Semester is set up in July each year for a total of four weeks.
