2004年,卡特彼勒将其融资租赁业务引进中国,从此,中国工程机械行业又多了一种营销模式——融资租赁。尽管目前人们对融资租赁的属性还存有争议,这并没有影响其在中国的快速发展。如今,无论是徐工、厦工、柳工等国内著名企业,还是小松、日立等外资企业,在中国都先后取得了融资租赁的资格,并开展此项业务。2011年第一季度,中国工程机械实现了快速增长,和融资租赁的渗透率提高有很大的关系。
