以仕女为题材的陶瓷作品在陶艺界并不鲜见,但因向来审美的趋同,要做出个性风格并不容易,而生长于岭南的中国陶瓷艺术大师封伟民却依仗着对岭南风物的熟知与体悟,在深入掌握传统石湾陶艺的基础上,着意研究历代艺术名家对仕女题材的表现手法,特别是对陈老莲、任柏年等艺术大家人物创作的研习用功尤甚,从而打好扎实的绘画基础。然后把纯绘画元素融入传统石湾陶瓷的创作,并结合地方人物风情与时代审美习惯,创作出一系列富有地域人群特征与迎合时代美感的岭南仕女作品。《金玉满堂》表现的就是民国年间岭南庭院中的景象。一位身着小凤仙衣裙的大家闺秀手
