考级,对每个学琴的孩子及其他们的家长、老师来说都是个常被提及的名词。在全国各地几乎是只要有学琴的孩子,就有参加考级的考生。考级也是近年来在艺术教育里领域使用率和“知名度”最高的名词之一。据了解“考级”并不是中国人的创造,却在中国得到了最大的响应和普及,目前中国参加艺术考级的人数已居世界之首。而又据了解,在众多的艺术考级中,音乐考级的参加者一直是最多的,参加者的决大多数是正在学琴的琴童们。2002年5月17日,文化部根据国务院的指示精神颁发了《社会艺术水平考级管理办法》,并明确了由文化部设立专门的机构统一管理和指导全国艺术考级工作,由文化部教科司主管此项工作。本刊在这个“管理办法”颁布的第一时间,就全文刊登了该“管理办法”,并在“管理办法”颁布后的第一时间访问过文化部教科司王丰处长,请他围绕这个“管理办法”出台前后的有关情况作了相应的介绍。在“管理办法”颁布即将一年的时候,中国的考级正在朝什么方向发展?主管部门对全国艺术考级,特别是音乐艺术考级的发展现状有怎样的评价?最近我们的记者再次走访了文化部教科司王丰处长,请他对于有关情况做了简要的介绍。——编者
