This essay takes a comparative approach to stylistics and analyzes the similarities and differences between the Bible’s Ruth and its two adapted texts as children’s Bible stories. This article explores how the textual parent and the derivative text form poetic differences. What is even more crucial is to reveal their agreement on the ideology of preaching and explaining. After the manipulation of these two values, the rewriter seeks a comprehensive approach to the expectations and needs of the readership of interest, and the charm of the rewritten literature is eventually sealed up and the original life can be extended.
