吴求剑(1902—1995),湖北省黄梅县小溪镇(今苦竹乡)小溪村花园山人。父亲吴树彩,在乡农商,兼理赈困。为人公道,行谊遐迩。吴求剑先后于黄梅县八角亭小学,武昌中华大学附属中学毕业。1919年在武昌求学期间,参加了五四运动。被湖北督军王占元逮捕,经学校营救出狱。后于北京通才商业专科学校(后并入北京交通大学)肄业,入黄埔军校第三期就读,从此百战沙场,戎马一生。
