Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) is a key enzyme in the renin-angiotensin system. In recent years, the study found that different ACE genotypes and cardiovascular disease, vascular dementia and so on. Consider the role of ACE gene in the formation of angiotensin II and the inactivation of bradykinin, which in turn affects the sodium metabolism, the secretion of aldosterone, the vasoconstriction and the proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells in the body, leading to genetic changes in the pathophysiology of blood pressure . In recent years, at home and abroad on ACE and its genetic polymorphisms and related diseases are reviewed.
