多年来,爱辉区始终把少数民族文化传承保护和促进各民族交流交往交融作为重点工作,并以举办各民族民俗节庆为契机,将民族文化传承和促进民族交融有机结合起来。古伦木沓节黑龙江省庆祝鄂伦春族下山定居60周年的主会场新生乡是爱辉区鄂伦春族下山定居后的聚居地,2012年成功举办了黑龙江省首届古伦木沓节,2013年成为黑龙江省庆祝鄂伦春族下山定居60周年的主会场。多年来,新生乡十分注重非物质文化传承,拥有国家和省级非物质文化遗产7个、传承人6人,通过开设鄂伦春族语言课以及形式多样的课外活动,进行狍皮、桦皮、剪纸等手工技艺传授,建成了爱辉民族文化传承
