Sedimentary microfacies and sand body distribution in the studied sequence are discussed by division and correlation of time units, which are established on basis of sedimentary cycle, thickness, contour and multi-well closure. The analyses show that the reservoir property is obviously controlled by sedimentary microfacies and the development and distribution of the main productive zone are controlled by underwater branched channels. The main reserves and the best result of water-flooding are seen firstly in underwater-branched channels and secondly in underwater-branched sub-channels. There are some reserves in levee or crevasse splay, but they can not be recovered under current technology conditions.
