我国著名画家吴冠中,1919年8月29日出生于江苏宜兴县闸口乡一个农民家庭,15岁考取浙江大学代办的工业学校电机科,一年后进杭州艺专(浙江美院前身),从此踏上了漫长的艺术道路,五十余年历经坎坷,奋笔挥洒,足迹遍及海内外,终于成为中国绘画界一代名流。他的画多次在新加坡、日本、美国、法国、香港、台湾等国家和地区展出,其美术成就举世瞩目。他的《高昌遗址》于1989年在香港“苏富比”春季拍卖中,以187万港币售出,开创中国在世界画家国际竞价中的最高纪录。1991年7月法国文化部
Wu Guanzhong, a famous painter in China, was born on August 29, 1919 in a peasant family of Zhakou Township, Yixing County, Jiangsu Province. At the age of 15, he accepted the Electrical Engineering Department of the Industrial School of Zhejiang University. One year later, he moved to Hangzhou Arts College (predecessor of Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts) Long art path, more than 50 years experienced ups and downs, strokes, footprints all over the world, has finally become a generation of Chinese painting celebrities. His paintings have been exhibited many times in Singapore, Japan, the United States, France, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other countries and regions, and his artistic achievements have attracted worldwide attention.
