昊苏同志: 我想就如何发挥广播电视的教育功能问题,和您交换意见。今年春夏之交在北京发生的动乱和反革命暴乱,使我们这些为共和国的成立、成长献出过青春的人,心情非常沉痛。小平同志曾经指出,我们最大的失误在于教育没有抓好,确实一语道出了病根。现在的问题是谁去抓教育,怎样抓?我以为广播、电视是覆盖面最大的、极其有效的教育工具,它们所起的作用是独特的,是普通国民教育体系无法代替的。怎样最大限度地发挥广播电视的教育作用,是值得研究的课题。
Comrade Hao Su: I would like to exchange views with you on how to give play to the educational function of radio and television. The turmoil and counter-revolutionary riots that took place this spring and summer in Beijing have made us very saddened by those who gave their youth to the founding and growth of the Republic. As once pointed out by Comrade Xiaoping, our biggest mistake is that education has failed to do a good job and it really shows the root cause. The question now is who is going to educate and how to grasp it? I think radio and television are the most extensive and extremely effective educational tools. Their role is unique and can not be replaced by the ordinary national education system. How to maximize the educational function of radio and television is a subject worth studying.
