整体阅读是指以整篇、整单元、整集、整部为单位,其中又以整篇阅读为基础的阅读.它不满足于对字、词、句的认读、释义与理解,要求通过阅读能明晰、准确地掌握一篇的内容,了解文章主旨,评价文章的得失.整体阅读能力是一项综合能力,它集合了认读能力、理解能力、鉴赏能力和思维能力.而就其阅读的“个性”来说就综合为对语言和文章的感受能力,会把认读、知句、概括、分析、联想等能力协调运用,从而高质量高速度地阅读理解整篇文章.
