土壤有机质是土壤的重要组成部分,它与土壤的演变肥力水平及一些土壤的共同属性有密切关系。土壤有机质含有农作物生长所需的多种营养元素,分解后可直接为作物生长提供各种营养。有机质可以改善土壤的理化性状,影响和制约土壤的结构形成,还与土壤的通气性、渗透性、缓冲性、交换性能和保水、保肥性能密切相关。土壤有机质含量丰富与否是衡量耕地土壤是否肥沃的重要指标,也是评价耕地质量优劣、判定耕地生产力大小
