在中央电视台每周一次的《赛场纵横》中,有这样一个镜头:一位身着金州勇士队10号球衣的黑小伙,把一只篮球在身后或胯下拨弄得上下翻滚,嘴里念念有词:I’m Tim Hardaway! 这是哈德威在广告中的一个镜头。笑容可掬的蒂姆·哈德威头脑冷静,在NBA以运球过人技术精湛而闻名。但是早年的哈德威却很有些脾气。哈德威生长在芝加哥南部,从小被祖父视为掌上明珠,宠爱有加。在不顺心时,他会跺脚噘嘴发哼哼声。被第一所小学开除后,他成为另一所小学校长办公室的常客。自那时起,他就迷上了篮球。在篮球场上他可以将心中郁结的情感尽情地发泄。哈德威的母亲欧文记得有一次校长送来一张字条,上面写道:“请注意蒂姆。他的篮球玩得棒极了。”

This is a shot of Hadley in the ad. Tim Hardaway, a smiling man, is cool-headed and is known for his skill in dribbling in the NBA. But early Hartley was a little temper. Hardaway grew up in southern Chicago, from his grandfather as a pearl, favorite. He would pout his feet and hum when he was not feeling well. After being expelled from the first primary school, he became a regular at the headmaster’s office of another elementary school. Since then, he has been hooked on basketball. In the basketball court, he can express his emotions in his heart. Irwin, the mother of Hadley, remembers a note sent by the principal, stating, “Please note Tim, whose basketball is fantastic.”
