亚当·斯密是英国资本主义成长时期的著名资产阶级经济学家。他曾总结近代初期各国资本主义发展的经验,并在批判吸收了当时有关经济理论的基础上,就整个国民经济运动过程作了较系统的论述。他的名著《国民财富的性质和原因的研究》出版后,大大促进了英国资本主义的发展,并对世界资本主义的发展发生广泛影响。目前我们要发展的是社会主义经济,与当年斯密要极力发展的社会经济有着本质区别。
Adam Smith is a famous bourgeois economist during the growth of British capitalism. He summed up the experience of the capitalist development of all countries in the early modern era and made a systematic exposition of the entire course of the national economic movement on the basis of critically absorbing the relevant economic theory at that time. His publication The Study of the Nature and Causes of National Wealth greatly promoted the development of British capitalism and had a widespread impact on the development of world capitalism. At present, what we want to develop is the socialist economy, which is essentially different from the social economy in which Smith was going to make great strides.
