Now there are three more countries, Denmark, Switzerland and Sweden, planning to use double-decker buses. In coordination with the railway electrical plan, the Danish state-owned railway decided to introduce double-decker buses. As recent surveys indicate that rail passenger traffic is growing, the introduction of double-decker buses will allow the Danish state-owned railways to increase passenger capacity without extending the length of the platforms. It is expected that a contract for double-decker buses will be signed with local Scandinavian manufacturing plants later this year. The plant’s sales manager once told International Rail magazine: "Making such a double-decker bus is a new area for us and we will seek technology abroad
