科学信息是第二资源,是无形的财富,是解决问题的钥匙。最快的掌握科学信息等于把握住了科学技术发展的脉搏。由此可迅速确定自己的科研方向,以顺应并赶上本专业发展的潮流。据美国化学文摘社(CAS)的资料表明:1977年11月该社以计算机登记的化学物质就有4,039,907个实体。而且每周以6000个的平均速度继续增长。我们权且以出现一种新物质发表两篇文章(制备,鉴定各一篇)计算。那么,每一周也至少出现12000篇化学方面的文章。如果这些信息全部加到我们头脑中,已贮存的有关信息显然是一个难以承受的负担。这使我们清醒地认识到目前信息变化发展的形势以及进行信息革命的必要性及其重要意义。
Scientific information is the second resource, is intangible wealth, is the key to solve the problem. The fastest grasp of scientific information is equal to grasp the pulse of science and technology development. This can quickly determine their own research direction to comply with and catch up with the professional development trend. According to the CAS information, there were 4,039,907 entities registered with the computer by the agency as of November 1977. And continue to grow at an average rate of 6000 a week.
