“两会”前夕,2月25日至27日,全国养老保险工作暨社会保险局长会议在四川绵阳召开。这次会议的任务是学习贯彻党的十六届三中全会精神,落实全国劳动和社会保障工作会议的部署,总结上年工作,安排2004年的任务。会议将研究加快完善养老保险制度作为重要议题,表明今年将是养老保险制度改革和业务经办不同寻常的一年。
On the eve of the “two sessions”, from February 25 to February 27, the national pension insurance and social insurance chief meeting was held in Mianyang, Sichuan. The task of this meeting is to study and implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee, implement the national conference on labor and social security work, summarize the work of the previous year and arrange the tasks in 2004. The meeting will study how to speed up the improvement of the pension insurance system as an important issue, indicating that this year will be an extraordinary one in the reform and business operation of the pension insurance system.
