This paper discusses the design idea, production method and function of the multimedia teaching software for the course of hydropower station.The software includes five parts: introduction, hydraulic machinery, hydropower station water supply system, hydropower station workshop, thinking questions and test questions library.The software is used in the classroom teaching of the hydropower station or Self-study extra-curricular, effectively solve the “Hydropower” curriculum less hours, more content and contradictory.Improve the teaching effectiveness and interest in learning and enthusiasm of students, can replace part of the internship content
