提起日本的外语教学,我们的一些知情人士都持有这么一种见解,即日本的外语教学好像并非将重点置於实践应用之上,此话并不是没有道理。笔者曾留学日本国立大阪外国语大学达三年之久。在学习研究期间,亲眼目睹了该学校的外语教学情况,并且,还聆听过该校的《The Engling Language》课程,给我留下一个总体的印象是日本的外语教学并不注重学生的语言实践能力,而是把外语教学的重点置於“读解”或“理解”上,如90分钟一节英语课,老师主要是以文法教学为主,为学生的理解扫除障碍,其具体方法是先让学生分别对其文章进行逐句的翻译,然后由老师视学生读解之疑难点,进行文法讲解,
