1990年11月26日,上海证券交易所成立大会暨第一次会员大会举行。第一届理事长和总经理分别由李祥瑞、尉文渊担任。 1990年12月1日,深圳证券交易所试营业。 1990年12月19日,上海证券交易所正式开张营业。 1991年7月3日,深圳证券交易所正式开业。 1991年4月3日,深圳证券交易所首次发布深圳综合股价指数,同年7月15日,上海证券交易所采用市场价总额加权计算法发布上证指数。 1991年8月28日,第一个全国性的证券行业性自律组织——中国证券业协会在京成立。 1991年9月2日,在允许机构入市仍不能止跌的情况下,深圳市政府决定用财政和机构出资2亿元“救市”。
