Anaerobic adhesives are used abroad in the 60’s for a large number of applications. The main components are acrylic monoesters, diesters or polyesters, plus initiators, accelerators, stabilizers, thickeners and dyes to form a variety of varieties. This is a one-component, solvent-free adhesive with “anaerobic cure” properties: Keeping the liquid in contact with air, squeezing the air between the bonding surfaces and polymerizing and curing at room temperature. Polymerization shrinkage is minimal, the adhesive layer has a high compressive modulus, resistance to solvents, corrosion, mildew, good shock resistance and sealing. It also has low toxicity, fast curing, long life and can stick
