新聞記者是一个光荣的称号。记者的劳动有别于任何其他的职業,有它自己的特殊的社会使命。記者的作品反映着时代脉搏的跳动。我們新聞記者应該看重这职業。但也不是所有的新聞記者都是这样。据說有些人作上几年記者后便有些厭倦这称号了。理由是記者是年青人的职業,現在,年紀也大了些,不好意思再去抛头露面了。也有人說得更露骨一些:从前在一起工作的人都作了处長、作了×長了,我还在作記者!
Journalists are a glorious title. The labor of journalists differs from any other occupation in that it has its own special social mission. Reporter’s work reflects the pulse of the times. Our journalists should value this job. But not all journalists are like this. It is said that some people get tired of this title after making journalists for a few years. The reason is that journalists are young professionals, and now they are older, and I am sorry to go public.
