OCEANOLOGIA ET LIMNOLOGIA SINICA is sponsored by the Chinese Society forDeeanology and Linmology and pubished by Science Press (Beijing). Its pubication commenced in1957. It is one of the leading academic journals in China; it is also intemationally influential.OCEANOLOGIA ET LIMNOLOGIA SINICA is a multi-disciplinary academic journal in thefield of oceanology and limnology. The first Chief Editor was Professor ZENG Cheng-kui (C KTseng), a famous marine algologist who is a Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS)and a Fellow of the Third Worid Academy of Sciences. The second Chief Editor was Professor LIURui-yu (J Y Liu), a famous marine biologist who is a Member of CAS and a member of theNational Committee of China Association for Science and Technology. Professor QIN Yun- shan, afamous marine geologist and Member of the CAS, and President of the Council of Chnese Societyfor oceanology and Limnology, is the present Chief Editor. The present Associate Editors arewell-known scientists among whom are Professors LIU Jian-kang (C K Liu) and WEN Sheng-chang(S C Wen), both Members of CAS, Professor ZHOU Ming-jiang, Director of the Institute ofOceanology of CAS, Professor QI Yu-zao, Director of the Institute of Hydrobiology of JinanUniversity and Professor WANG Ying, Director of State Pilot Laboratory of Coast & IslandExploitation, and the Dean, School of Geoscience, Nanjing University.Subject topics of the journal cover hydrology, meteorology, physics, chemistry, geology,geophysics, aquatic environmental science, biology and their branches applied to the earth’shydrosphere and instrumntation. The journal consists of a number of sections including ResearchPapers, Notes, Reviews, Discussion, New Techniques, Book Reviews, Scientific News, andScientists’s Profile.Papers on the achievements which have a close relationship with the national economic growth,or present new academic viewpoints, will have a priority to be published.
