正所谓风水轮流转,PC三巨头的优劣势此消彼长, 竞争格局日趋复杂. 2006年5月,戴尔的两大举动足以让业界震惊!一是作为英特尔的铁杆盟友,戴尔宣布在其高端服务器产品中采用AMD的皓龙处理器,这让英特尔“,”Competition among Dell, HP and Lenovo in China reflects their global rivalry among these three PC giants in the world. Though Lenovo is successfully integrated with IBM PC business, it still loses some expected customers and its profit is unexpectedly low. Facing Dell's fierce aggression in China's domestic market, Lenovo changes its incentive system. By greatly increasing bonus, Lenovo mobilizes its salesmen's initiative to expand its market in finance, petroleum and other industry, as well as government and even armed forces. One of Lenovo's advantages is its low pricing. But Dell is now brewing a pricing campaign, which means Lenovo will have to face a difficult situation again. For Dell, the situation is not optimistic either. It is losing its world market share. Besides a low pricing measure, Dell may change its direct sales strategy and start distributing its products through channels. In fact, you can easily find Dell PCs at some electronics marketplaces in Beijing these days. These sales agents get Dell PCs in the name of big clients. Meanwhile, Dell announced not long ago that it would expand its R&D facilities in China and India and hire more research talents. HP, more like Lenovo than Dell, tries hard to open markets in smaller cities and towns in China. Last year, HP ran a countrywide road show in order to attract local distributors and retailers to join its sales force. In the next three years, HP will set up more representative offices and sales organs in 400 Chinese cities. It not only plans to beat Dell, Lenovo and Founder in China, but also aims to replace Lenovo as the No. 1 PC suppb'er in Asia by expanding production capacity of its Asian plants, including its factories in China It is foreseeable that the competition among the three PC giants will continue not only in China but also in the world.
