Preface In The Power of IT, the author defines Information Technology (IT) as: Information Technology (IT) is a technology used to store, communicate, and manipulate information. The scope of the above definition is very broad and covers almost all areas of electronic communications technology, automation, optimization algorithms and computers. “IT is more than just computers, software and services. IT is an organic combination of all these elements and focuses on how technology can help an organization achieve its goals.” It has been clearly pointed out here that for a specific “organization” IT is only a means to get the goal.
