小时候,很多人都见过民间艺人用糯米面团制作的孙悟空、猪八戒、大公鸡等,因颜色鲜艳,栩栩如生,十分招人喜爱。事实上面塑艺术在中国已有500多年的历史,然而,因人物的脸部表情和神韵较难表达,面塑肖像在美术史上却是空白。一位济南女孩玩“面人儿”却玩出了一道人生风景:她的面塑肖像作品不仅在纽约引起轰动,就连阿拉伯王子、瑞典商务大臣、挪威旅游部长等名人政要,都慕名请她为自己塑像。今年27岁的赵晓雅出生在山东济南市,因爷爷是位醅爱面塑艺术的民间艺人,受其影响,她从小就爱和小朋友在一起玩泥巴,捏老虎、小狗和一些稀奇古怪的神话人物造型。2000年,学工艺美术专业的赵晓雅随舅舅来到了纽约。
