越剧新版《梁山伯与祝英台》由浙江小百花越剧团主演,搬演之初褒贬不一,但仍获得了大量观众的支持,其在传统老戏越剧《梁山伯与祝英台》的基础上进行了创新改编,包括情节、唱词、唱腔、舞美、服饰等多方面。经过十多年的演出和锤炼,这部戏仍然具有鲜活的生命力,在坚守“在传统基础上创新,在创新中坚守传统”的理念中继续焕发新的光彩,这为戏曲传统剧目在新世纪的改编创作积累了经验,既坚守了戏曲的本体,又能紧跟时代脚步,吸引年轻的观众,这是非常值得现代戏曲创作者探讨和借鉴的。
