再生稻是一种古老的双季稻栽培方式,早在四世纪张湛所著《养生要术》中便有记载。到本世纪五十年代我国南方稻区推行单季稻改双季连作稻时,这种方式对提高稻谷总产作出过贡献。近年农村实行生产责任制以后,又逐渐被应用。并受到群众的欢迎。湖南省邵东县檀山铺乡孙求生等1984年试种5亩,头季亩产504.3公斤,二季亩产341.7公斤。实践证明,在种一季中稻光热资源有余而种双季连作稻不足的地方,发展再生稻
