With the rapid development of the global economy, the world still faces such problems as poverty, water scarcity and terrorism. In 2000, the United Nations put forward the goal of comprehensive sustainable development in an effort to eradicate poverty and protect the planet. Through the building of a global partnership, the United Nations fostered a peaceful, just and inclusive society and shared prosperity for all.
