In April 2001, Shilin County was identified by the Ministry of Education as the National Basic Education Curriculum Experimental Area. With the new round of basic education curriculum reforms in the 38 experimental areas in the country, the new curriculum, such as the vibrant spring and Vientiane, has entered the life of our teachers. The new education concept, new talent concept, quality concept, and student outlook put forward higher requirements for our teachers. Paying attention to the child’s future and development, respecting the child’s personality and treating the child as a real person is the basic idea of this curriculum reform. Shilin County is the only national experimental reform area in Yunnan Province.
