积极引导宗教与社会主义社会相适应,是党中央提出的正确处理我国社会主义时期宗教问题的重大命题,是对马克思主义宗教观的重大创新。这一重大命题自20世纪90年代初提出以来,党和国家的宗教工作按照积极引导宗教与社会主义社会相适应的要求,成就卓著,积累了丰富经验。宗教理论方面对该问题的研究,也形成了比较系统的“相适应”理论。党的十七大又将“积极引导宗教与社会主义社会相适应”作为宗教工作基本方针的落脚点,并提出发挥宗教积极作用,促进宗教关系和谐的重要任
Actively guiding religions to adapt to socialist society is a major proposition put forth by the Central Party Committee to correctly handle the religious issue during the socialist period in China and a major innovation in the religious concepts of Marxism. Since the important proposition was put forward in the early 1990s, the religious work of the Party and the country has made outstanding achievements and accumulated rich experience in accordance with the requirements of actively guiding religions and socialist society. The study of this issue in religious theory has also formed a relatively systematic theory of “adaptation”. The 17th National Congress of the Communist Party of China put “actively guiding the conformity of religion and socialism” as the foothold of the basic principle of religious work and put forward the important task of giving play to the positive role of religions and promoting the harmony of religious relations
