The father of Chinese modern music education In the first two lectures, we mainly introduced Li Shuntong, Shen Xinong’s school music and initial music education. Founded in 1927, the National Conservatory of Music is China’s first professional higher music school, which is now the predecessor of Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Its founder is the modern music educator Xiao Youmei. He believes that one of the reasons for the backwardness of Chinese modern music culture lies in the fact that ”all ages are innocent."
