In April 2008, during the epidemiological investigation in the lake area, snails caught in different environments were randomly selected and measured one by one. The average length and shell type of Oncomelania snails growing in different breeding environments were found as follows. MATERIALS AND METHODS A. Snail collection The tested snails were collected from three different habitats of Lutan, Caotan Beach and Wei within the observation point. Snails were sampled by systematic sampling and randomly selected for more than 30 frames.
