In order to study the relationship between the vestibular nerve and motor function, the vestibular nerve branches of the frog were selectively cut off to observe the change of motor function. The results showed that when the one or both sides of the balloon was cut off, the frog’s posture reflex and motor function did not change. After the lateral semicircular canal nerve was cut off, posture reflex and motor function were unchanged. After cutting off the semicircular canal nerves on both sides, the gyroscopic reflex of the head disappeared, but the motor function was unchanged.
