General Motors India Branch Appoints COO Kaher Kazem as New President and General Manager, January 1, 2016. Kaher Kazem has been a senior engineer at General Houghton, Australia since 1995, before assuming various leadership positions with GM Houghton Manufacturing. In 2009, he was appointed Deputy General Manager, Manufacturing and Quality, General Thailand / ASEAN. In 2012, he was appointed General Manager of Uzbekistan. The current General Manager of GM India, Arvind Saxena, has held his current position since 2014 and has recently decided to retire. In 1994, GM entered the Indian market, is still facing Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Honda and other days
