Intercropping is a kind of planting method that can improve the biological diversity of farmland. It has the characteristics of making full use of resources and greatly increasing the yield. It is also a traditional agricultural measure that uses the interspecific interaction to control the occurrence of diseases. The intercropping of hybrids has important practical significance in solving the problems of population growth, depletion of resources and deterioration of the ecological environment. It has become a hot spot at home and abroad in recent years. Intercropping crops have very complex interactions that involve the interaction of above-ground (canopy) interactions with the underground (rhizosphere) interactions of crops with respect to moisture, nutrients and photothermal The efficient use of resources, the yield advantage of complex populations, and continued disease control are all linked to interspecific interactions. This review summarizes the effects and mechanisms of above -ground and below-ground factors in crop disease control and yield superiority in interplanting systems and prospects for the current research focus and future directions for research.
