记得1996年盛夏,张万峰曾在中国美术馆成功地举办过山水画展,他的作品多取材于浑厚苍茫的北方山水和质朴幽静的山村小景,在艺术表现上他以传统笔墨为主体,又多方借鉴西方现代艺术的构图方式,讲求块面的对比分割和语言符号的多重组合,以增强画面的视觉冲击力,同时他还大胆地使用颜色,比如色彩夺目的《红屋顶》系列,就让人想起了夏加尔的同名油画,他的个展受到了广泛的好评,当年的《美术》杂志也做了专题介绍。然而,在一片喝彩声中他却断然放弃了这种中西融合的风格,上了一条南下求学之路,在位于西子湖畔
I remember that in the mid-summer of 1996, Zhang Wanfeng had successfully held a landscape exhibition in the National Art Museum of China. His works are mostly based on the rich and steep landscapes of northern China and the quiet and secluded mountain villages. In his artistic performance, Drawing on the composition of Western modern art in various ways, he emphasized on the multi-faceted contrasting and multi-combination of linguistic symbols in order to enhance the visual impact of the picture. At the same time, he boldly used colors such as the dazzling Red Roof series People think of Chagall’s oil painting of the same name, his solo exhibition has been widely praised, then “Art” magazine also made a special presentation.
