Railway station crowds, popularity is full, especially in the “Spring Festival” period. Stockholm Central Station, the capital of Sweden, has a good idea: collect heat from passengers and heat up office buildings near the train station, saving 25% a year. The project started its research and renovation in 2007 and officially started operation in 2009. The operation is currently in good effect. The train station has 250,000 passengers a day. Claes Johansson, head of the environmental department at Jennifer Hussein in charge of the project, said the system makes effective use of existing ventilation and excess heat without the conversion of other energy sources. The cost of the entire system is not high, and in the long run, it costs less than other heating systems.
