通过分析英国议会制辩论的形式和特点,旨在探索议会制辩论在大学英语写作教学中的应用。英国议会制辩论具有辩题范围广、思辨性强、立论驳论共存、上下院双层辩论制等特点,应用于大学英语写作教学中可以增强学生写作动机、激发学生自我反省式思考、拓展学生多角度思维、使学生写作思路清晰开阔、内容深入,从而增强写作教学效果,促进写作教学的良性发展。
By analyzing the form and characteristics of the parliamentary debate in the United Kingdom, this paper attempts to explore the application of the parliamentary debate in the teaching of college English writing. British parliamentary debate has the characteristics of a wide range of topics of debate, strong speculation, the argument on the coexistence of arguments, the double debates of the upper and lower house, etc., which can enhance students’ writing motivation, stimulate students’ self-reflection thinking and expand students’ Angle of thinking, make students clear and broad writing ideas, content depth, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of writing teaching and promote the healthy development of writing teaching.
