“知前人所已知,识时人所未知,为后人导新航,乃科学家之本色。”——徐冠仁徐冠仁,1914年3月7日出生于江苏省南通县一个教师家庭,因家境清贫,八岁才入学,但他学习刻苦勤奋。徐冠仁受环境氛围的熏陶,自幼立志献身农业,1930年南通学院附属农科高中毕业后升入南通学院农科,后转入国立中央大学农艺系,于1934年毕业,获学士学位,因学习成绩优异留校任教并从事水稻遗传研究。我国著名小麦育种家蔡旭,
